Job summary

Vestas seeks a Repair Technician II for a remote, hourly role with 100% travel across the Midwest. With overtime, travel, and supplemental earnings, the role can lead to earnings over $100,000 per year. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered to qualified applicants.

As a Major Component Exchange/Repair Technician, you’ll lead or support exchanges for gearboxes, generators, and retrofit projects across turbine platforms, while growing your electrical and mechanical skills on exciting wind projects.

Qualifications

• Must follow established safety protocols and perform risk assessments.
• Proficient troubleshooting and major repair execution on turbine systems.
• Collaborative technician able to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform major component exchanges including gearboxes and generators.
• Execute maintenance, repair, retrofits, and design modifications per procedures.
• Travel extensively to support turbine operations across sites.
• Maintain safety inspections and high-quality work standards.
• Work with teams to ensure efficient and safe project completion.
