Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Major Component Exchange/Repair Technician for 100% travel across the Northwest region in a remote, hourly role. You will lead or support exchanges of gearboxes, generators, and retrofits, ensuring minimal downtime and peak turbine performance.

The position requires wind energy experience, strong troubleshooting, and a commitment to safety. Training through GWO programs is provided, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a base pay range of $27.43–$41.65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Candidates have wind technician experience or wind energy related training.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair wind turbine components.

Responsibilities

• Perform major component exchanges including gearboxes and generators.
• Conduct maintenance, repairs, retrofits, and project work per procedures.
• Travel extensively across the Northwest region to sites and ensure safety and quality.
