American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Big Spring, Texas. The role covers inpatient, outpatient, and ED imaging with OB/GYN, vascular, neonatal, and pediatric studies using Epic, GE equipment and PACS.

Expect 36 hours/week, 3x12 hour days, with on-call Friday–Sunday evenings. Minimum 1 year experience and teaching hospital background are required, along with ARDMS, RVT and BLS.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience and teaching hospital background to cover inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings.

Details

• Covers inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings
• Work settings include Adult, Emergency Department, ICU, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Portables, and Vascular
• Performs OB/GYN, fetal, neonatal, pediatric, general ultrasound, vascular, and renal/pelvis studies
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Epic charting system
• Uses GE equipment and PACS system
• 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call required Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM every weekend

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• ARDMS, ARDMS RVT, and BLS certifications required
• ARDMS AB, ARDMS OB/GYN, and ARRT(S) certifications preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in OB/GYN imaging including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester studies, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and multiple pregnancy assessment
• Experience with fetal abdomen, head, heart, and other fetal anatomical imaging
• Experience with neonatal, pediatric, and general ultrasound imaging
• Vascular imaging skills including aorta, carotid, color flow, duplex, and extremity arterial/venous studies
• Renal/pelvis imaging skills including bladder, ovaries, prostate, and transvaginal studies
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Nursys documentation required at time of consideration
• License must be in-hand at time of consideration
• RTO must be submitted with candidate profile
• Travel experience highly preferred though first-time travelers may be considered
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen including marijuana testing, and a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Must reside outside a 110-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
