American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 26-week assignment in San Angelo, Texas. The role includes day shifts (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), 40 hours per week, and rotation through radiology/cardiology ultrasound with general and vascular imaging.

Required: 1+ year in general and vascular ultrasound, ARDMS certification (AB/RVT preferred), ACLS/BLS/NIHSS, Nursys verification, and in-hand license if applicable. Travel experience preferred.

• Operate GE equipment and document findings in PACS.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 1+ years of general and vascular ultrasound experience for a day shift assignment.

Details

• Rotates through Radiology/Cardiology Ultrasound for general imaging
• Adult patient population with coverage across Emergency Department, ICU, NICU, Obstetrics, and Pediatrics
• Performs vascular studies including aorta, arterial mapping, carotid, Doppler studies, duplex, and stents
• Performs general ultrasound exams including appendix, gallbladder, and pancreas
• OB/GYN imaging across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters preferred
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment and PACS system
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 26-week assignment preferred, minimum 13 weeks accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in general and vascular ultrasound required, OB experience preferred
• ARDMS certification required; ARDMS AB and ARDMS RVT preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Nursys verification required
• License required if applicable, and must be in-hand prior to consideration
• Must be able to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or have a plan in place for timely completion

Additional Information

• Travel experience highly preferred though not required
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with zero tolerance for positive results
• Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Local candidates within 110 miles are not accepted for this position
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
