Description

American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a Level I trauma center requiring ARDMS and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in the Radiology/Cardiology department performing General Ultrasound studies
• Adult and Emergency Department patient population
• 3x12 weekend night shifts from 18:30-07:00
• Required to work every weekend
• On-call required as needed
• No floating within scope required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• ARDMS and BLS certification required
• ARDMS AB, ARDMS OB/GYN, and RDCS-RVT certifications preferred
• Active, unrestricted license required at time of application; license required if applicable
• Experience with Abdominal Aorta, Appendix, Gallbladder, Liver, Pancreas, Spleen ultrasound studies required
• 1st Trimester OB/GYN ultrasound experience required
• Experience with Bladder, Hernia, Ovaries, Prostate, Renal/Bladder, Uterus, and Vaginal studies required
• Experience with Superficial Masses, Testicles/Scrotum, and Thyroid studies required
• Experience with Paracentesis and Thoracentesis procedures required
• Renal transplant studies experience required
• Vascular ultrasound experience required, including Aorta, Carotid, Color Flow, Duplex, Lower Extremity Arterial, and Renal Artery Duplex studies
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and management/lead experience required
• Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred
• Previous travel experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered

Additional Information

• Facility is a 562-bed acute care hospital, Magnet-designated, and a Level I trauma center
• Any solid-colored scrubs permitted
• RTO requests of more than 5 non-holiday days require facility approval
• Candidates must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Floating is required and may include floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous perm or PRN employees of the facility must be separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
