Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer to provide general ultrasound coverage across inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings in a teaching hospital environment.

Details

• Covers inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings
• 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On‑call required Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM every weekend
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Epic EMR used
• Work settings include adult, ED, ICU, maternal fetal medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, portables, and vascular studies
• Performs OB/GYN, fetal, neonatal, pediatric, general ultrasound, vascular, and renal/pelvic exams
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment and PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound technologist experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• ARDMS certification required; ARDMS AB, ARDMS OB/GYN, and ARRT-S preferred
• ARDMS RVT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• License required if applicable
• License must be in‑hand at time of submission

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include OB/GYN imaging across all trimesters, fetal anatomical surveys, abdominal and vascular studies, and pediatric and neonatal ultrasound exams
• Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Must reside outside a 110‑mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Travel experience is highly preferred but not required
