Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fiber pulling, routing, dressing and labeling.
• Assign work based on prints and cut sheets.
• Monitor daily production and front-line completion.
• Maintain fiber handling and bend-radius requirements.
• Ensure clean routing through ladder racks and paths.
• Identify installation or quality issues and direct corrections.
• Track work in progress and report production status.
• Perform handoffs between day and night shifts.

Employment Type: W-2 Contract to Hire
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: $45/hour, based on experience
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts
Day Shift: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
Night Shift: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
Travel: 100% Required

Position Overview

Tek One Solutions is seeking experienced Fiber Lead Technicians for a large-scale data center infrastructure deployment in Abernathy, Texas.

This is a production-focused leadership position for technicians with strong hands-on fiber experience who are comfortable directing active work fronts, coordinating technicians, reading project documentation, maintaining quality standards, and keeping installation crews aligned with aggressive production goals.

Candidates must be available to travel to Abernathy, TX for the entire assignment. Lead technicians may also be required to travel to other project locations before deployment to Abernathy for training, onboarding, or project support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fiber pulling, routing, dressing, and labeling
• Assign work based on prints, cut sheets, and designated cable routes
• Monitor daily production and work-front completion
• Ensure proper fiber handling and bend-radius requirements
• Maintain clean cable routing through ladder rack and designated pathways
• Identify installation or quality concerns and direct corrections
• Track work in progress and communicate production status
• Perform physical handoffs between day and night shifts
• Maintain safe, organized, production-driven work areas

Qualifications

• Previous data center or mission-critical experience strongly preferred
• Previous crew lead, foreman, or production leadership experience
• Experience with high-count fiber strongly preferred
• Familiarity with 144F, 192F, or similar high-count fiber
• Ability to read prints, cut sheets, labels, and cable-routing information
• Strong communication, organization, and crew-management skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts for the full project duration
• Dependable attendance is mandatory

Per diem and approved project expenses will be reimbursed/provided according to the approved travel package, and authorized travel to and from the project will be reimbursed.

Lead technicians may also be required to travel to other project locations before Abernathy for training or deployment support.
