Responsibilities

• Cardio and thoracic caseload including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic cases
• 1:1 OR patient ratio
• May float to Main OR
• Uses Epic, Omnicell, and Alaris equipment
• 8 or 10 hour shifts to be determined during interview
• On-call rotation: one overnight per week and every 3rd weekend
• Potential to work every holiday
• 2 Tech model with shared setup and draping responsibilities
• Orientation consists of 5 shifts of 8 hours
• On-call response time of 15 minutes with accommodations
• Time off requests require manager approval
• First-time travelers considered; travelers live >100 miles away
• Permanent staff wait one full year before traveling again

Responsibilities

• Cardiovascular operating room within Surgical Services with 2 ORs, 20 Pre-Op bays, and 14 PACU bays
• Cardio and thoracic surgical caseload including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic cases (lobectomy, hernia repair), generator exchanges, lead extractions, cardiac organ procurement, fem-pop bypass, open vascular cases, AAA, carotids, and conversions
• 1:1 OR patient ratio
• May float to Main OR
• Uses Epic (required), Omnicell, and Alaris equipment
• 8 or 10 hour shifts to be determined during interview
• On-call rotation required: one overnight per week (7p-7a) and every 3rd weekend
• Potential to work every holiday
• Works within a '2 Tech' model where two surgical techs are scrubbed in for every case, sharing setup, draping, and instrument responsibilities
• Team includes RN/First Assist/Surg Tech, Nurse Clinician, CRN, Service Line Leads, HUC, Scheduler, Preference Card Analyst, and Anesthesia support
• Orientation consists of 5 shifts of 8 hours each
• On-call response time of 15 minutes required, with sleep accommodations provided in the Pre-Op/PACU area or break room couches
• Time off requests require manager approval
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Travelers must live more than 100 miles from the facility
• Permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler
