Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring 1-2 years of multi-specialty surgical tech experience.

Hospital setting with a 355-bed facility offering Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, and Women’s Centers. 4x10h shifts from 6:45 AM to 4:45 PM; travel orientation dates bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist diploma or certification required.
• 1-2 years of surgical tech experience across multiple specialties.
• Ortho or Neuro experience preferred.
• AHA certifications required.
• License required if applicable.
• Active Nursys/licensure status required at time of consideration.
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting within a 355-bed facility with Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, and Women's Centers.
• 13-bed operating room unit with 1:1 patient ratios.
• Adult patient population with minimal pediatric outpatient cases.
• Utilizes Robotics (DaVinci), Mako, Holmium Laser, and Hana table equipment.
• Cerner EMR system used.
• 4x10hr shifts, 6:45 AM to 4:45 PM.
• Weekend hours limited to call only, every other weekend.
• Call requirement of 7 days per month including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• No floating requirements.
• Scrub attire provided via on-site scrub machine; no specific color required.
• Outside attire not laundered by the hospital is not acceptable.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate.
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months.
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time.
• Travelers must start on specific orientation dates aligned with the facility's bi-weekly orientation schedule.
