Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years CST experience required.

• Minimum 1 year CVOR experience required.
• Minimum 1 year in a Level I Trauma facility required.
• BLS certification required.
• Endovascular skills required (hard requirement).
• Proficiency in aseptic technique, crash cart management, and equipment documentation.
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting within a CVOR unit at a Level I Trauma facility.
• Performs CVOR procedures including CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, and valve replacements.
• General OR, Hybrid OR, and vascular case coverage included.
• Scrub and circulate duties with crash cart and equipment documentation responsibilities.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• 40 hours per week on a day shift with 8- and 12-hour shifts between 6:30am-11:00pm.
• Weekend rotation distributed among staff.
• Call duties distributed among staff.
• Two professional references required with specific criteria.
• Current Ohio State University hospital employees are ineligible to be travelers.
• Complete Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprinting promptly upon accepting an offer.

• Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible to be hired as travelers
• Requested time off must be submitted with the contract and built in, limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprinting promptly upon accepting an offer, including lifetime background checks
• Responsibilities include supporting a range of cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and general surgery procedures
• Maintains infection control through isolation precautions, PPE, and sharps safety protocols
• Participates in specimen handling, radiation safety, and Universal Protocol time-out procedures
