Job summary

Bergelectric is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the Safety, Live Safe. Live Safe. program across regional sites in Colorado. You will visit construction projects, offices, and shops daily to ensure the safety program is fully executed.

Responsibilities include leading safety initiatives, preparing plans and risk assessments, conducting audits, and ensuring OSHA and company policy compliance. Travel to projects is frequent; CSP or equivalent credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in safety and/or construction; electrical construction preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Knowledge of fall protection, silica, confined space, forklift, scissor lift, trenching, scaffolding, LOTO.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills; interact effectively at all levels.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Experience responding to incidents and documenting investigations.
• Team player with proactive safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership to operations teams and report on safety performance.
• Advise on safe work planning and participate in safety meetings.
• Prepare site safety plans, risk assessments, permits, and MOPs.
• Conduct site audits and inspections to identify hazards and liabilities.
• Respond to safety incidents and maintain documentation.
• Ensure OSHA and company safety policy compliance.
• Develop safety competencies and train site personnel.
• Collaborate with HR, training, procurement, and contracts.
• Travel to project sites for safety engagement.
