Bergelectric Corp. is seeking a Safety Manager (Travel) to oversee safety performance across multiple sites in the region. You will visit job sites daily to verify the safety program is fully executed and coordinate with regional and site leaders on safety initiatives.

The role requires extensive safety expertise, CPS/credentials, and willingness to travel frequently; you will develop safety training, review plans, and ensure OSHA compliance.

Formación

• 5-10 years of experience in safety and/or in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated expertise and working knowledge of safety rules and regulations including fall protection, silica, confined space, forklift, and scissor lift operation, trenching, scaffolding, energy control/LOTO and general construction safety.
• Highly developed interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with employees effectively, persuasively, and tactfully at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Frequent travel is required for this position.
• Promotes overall safety culture and contributes to internal safety communication, promotions, and campaigns.

Responsabilidades

• Provide safety leadership and technical assistance to operations teams, evaluates safety performance against established targets and reports on safety performance.
• Participates in the safe planning of work by advising operations and project managers on contractual and Company safety requirements.
• Prepares and reviews site safety plans, risk assessment, work permits, MOPs, and other supporting safety documentation.
• Visits construction projects regularly to perform audits and inspections, identify hazards, and ensure safe working conditions.
• Responds to incidents or safety reports from employees, foremen, superintendents, customers, or other parties.
• Verifies compliance with Company policies, OSHA and other applicable regulatory agencies.
• Develops safety competencies in supervisors and site safety personnel and advises on areas for improvement.
• Meets regularly with foremen, superintendents, and general contractors to identify and correct safety issues.
• Manages relationships with client site safety personnel to address future issues.
• Monitors and reports on safety engagement activities such as observations, campaigns, recognition events and incident reports.
• Facilitates timely investigation and sharing of information.
• Works cross functionally with HR, training, procurement, contracts and other functions to coordinate areas of mutual need.
• Assesses training needs and manages train-the-trainer designations for project level safety; provides safety training to personnel.
• Maintains required certifications.
