Job summary

Bergelectric is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the Work Safe. Live Safe. safety program across multiple sites.

You will report to the Regional or Corporate Safety leadership and routinely visit projects, offices, and shops to verify the program is fully implemented. Responsibilities include providing safety leadership, performing audits and inspections, developing training, and coordinating with operations, HR, procurement, and contracts to improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of safety rules and regulations including fall protection and hazard control.
• Experience implementing safety programs across multiple sites (construction preferred).
• Ability to lead safety meetings, training, and incident investigations.
• Proven ability to drive continuous safety improvements and cultural change.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and technical assistance to operations teams and evaluate safety performance.
• Advise on safe planning of work and attend safety/startup meetings.
• Prepare and review site safety plans, risk assessments, permits, and other safety docs.
• Perform site audits/inspections and identify hazards for corrective action.
• Respond to incidents and safety reports from employees and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and logs.
