American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Stepdown Neuro RN with Cerner experience and NIH Stroke Scale certification for a 13-week travel assignment in North Carolina.

The role sits in a neuro-focused NPCU with a 20-bed unit and a 5:1 patient ratio, requiring a 12-hour day shift (7A–7P). You’ll document in Cerner, float as needed, and work every other weekend; travel benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• ADN required
• Cerner EHR experience
• SSN and date of birth required
• Active Nursys licensure verification at time of consideration

Responsabilités

• Step down neuro-surgical unit (NPCU 5 South) within a 355-bed hospital
• Specializes in neuro, stroke, and neurosurgical patient care
• 20-bed unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
• Uses Masimo vital sign monitoring equipment
• Documents in Cerner EHR
• 12-hour day shift (7A-7P)
• Works every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floats in rotation as needed
• Provide stepdown-level nursing care to neuro/stroke/neurosurgical patients
• Outgoing personality fit for unit culture
• Scrubs of any color accepted; no cartoon patterns; no flip flops/hats/vulgar attire
• Start orientation on one of the 2026 start dates (Nov 16 or Dec 7)
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from facility for travel rate; local within 60 miles may be local rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at LifePoint facility in past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
• Every other weekend coverage required
