American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Step Down RN for a float travel assignment in California. Requires CA RN license, travel nursing background, and night shifts with weekend coverage. Epic EMR experience is required and documented in your work history.

The role includes 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with 1:3 patient ratios and float to other units as needed. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and travel reimbursements are offered.

• CA RN license in-hand at application.
• Minimum 2 years recent experience.
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience.
• 1 year of specialty area within past 2 years for specialized units.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications in-hand.
• CPI Blue Card from Crisis Prevention Institute in-hand.
• Prior travel nursing experience.
• Two supervisor references.

Responsabilidades

• Step Down unit position with float to other units.
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30.
• Weekend coverage required.
• Epic EMR used; experience documented in work history.
• Patient ratio 1:3.
• Care for cardiac telemetry, stepdown, and neuro stepdown patients.
• Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response.
• Manage CVA, craniotomy, seizure disorders, and post-TPA care.
• Cardiac drips, PCA, and procedural sedation monitoring preferred.
• Local candidates same pay rate.
• Previous UCSD employees must be noted at application and approved.
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year to return as traveler.
• No RTO during first two weeks; max 7 days per 13-week contract preferred.
• First-time travelers will not be considered.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Step Down RN for a float position requiring prior travel experience, CA RN licensure, and night shift availability with weekend coverage.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty area within the past 2 years required for specialized units
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in-hand at time of application
• CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required in-hand (online or MAB certification not accepted)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Two supervisor references required
• Skills in IV therapy, central/PICC line management, cardiac monitoring, and telemetry required

Responsibilities

• Step Down unit position with float requirement to other units
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Weekend coverage required
• Epic EMR used, experience required and must be documented in work history
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Provide care for cardiac telemetry, stepdown, and neuro stepdown patient populations
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response including use of rapid response/code teams
• Manage patients with CVA, craniotomy, seizure disorders, and post-TPA care
• Experience with cardiac drips, PCA, and procedural sedation monitoring preferred
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous UCSD employees must be noted at time of application and approved prior to assignment
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
