Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Spine Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit in Indiana. Requires IN/compact licensure and neuro assessment experience. Night shift 7P–7A with every other weekend; travel assignment at a 396-bed hospital.

The role features a 24-bed unit with Level 1–2 trauma, stroke, DKA, and renal failure cases. Navy scrubs, Cerner EMR, and a generous housing/travel reimbursement package are included.

Qualifications

• Active RN license IN or compact
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS may be obtained during orientation
• 1–2 years neuro/med-surg telemetry experience required
• Neuro assessments and post-surgical care experience
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days
• Driver's license and address matching ID required
• No gaps in work history >90 days in past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Neuro Spine Med/Surg telemetry with trauma, stroke, DKA, renal failure
• 24-bed unit in a 396-bed hospital
• Patient ratio 1:5 or 1:6
• Night shift 7P–7A with every other weekend
• Block scheduling allowed if weekends covered
• Floating to other med-surg/telemetry units
• No mandatory call; voluntary only
• Use Cerner EMR
• Provide higher-acuity post-op neuro/spinal and trauma care
• Navy scrubs required
• RTO max 1 week, pre-approved
• Candidates must live >50 miles away; locals not accepted
• Previous perm staff at this health system within last 2 years not eligible

• 1-2 years of recent experience in neuro/med-surg telemetry required
• Expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking, drain management, post-surgical care, chest tube management, and groin site management post-IR
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of start
• Driver's license and permanent home address matching ID required for consideration
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days in the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit with Neuro Spine surgical and telemetry patients, including Level 1 and Level 2 trauma cases, stroke, DKA, and renal failure diagnoses
• 24-bed unit within a 396-bed hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
• Night shift 7P-7A with every other weekend required
• Block scheduling accepted as long as it accommodates every other weekend
• Floating required to other med-surg or telemetry units
• No mandatory call, voluntary only
• Uses Cerner EMR

• Navy scrubs required
• Maximum RTO of 1 week, must be pre-approved
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
