Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Step-Down/Telemetry unit in Ohio with EPIC EMR experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

The 39-bed unit runs three 12-hour nights (19:00–7:30) with a 1:4-5 patient ratio. Travel nurses float to multiple campuses, work every other weekend/holiday, and must live outside a 50-mile radius. References are not required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Active OH or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• IV Start and Telemetry certifications required.
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.

Responsibilities

• Step-down unit within a hospital setting combining telemetry and surgical patient care.
• 39-bed unit with typical patient ratio of 1:4-5.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30.
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Floating required to Main Campus (Dayton), South Campus (Centerville), and North Campus (Englewood).
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Provide step-down level nursing care to telemetry and surgical patients.
• Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract, with no changes permitted after an offer is made.
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius.
• Previous Premier Health perm/PRN staff or prior agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying, pending facility rehire approval.
• Travelers are not eligible for Premier Health employee incentives.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• References are not required for consideration.

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• IV Start and Telemetry certifications required
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Skilled in IV therapy, line care/management, and cardiac drip management (no titration)
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
