American Traveler is seeking a Night Shift RN for a Step Down/PCU position in Ohio. Must hold an OH or compact RN license and have telemetry experience, with ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Epic charting proficiency is required and a telemetrist will assess your EKG/telemetry skills before starting. The role features 4x12 hour night shifts (19:00-07:00) on a winter contract basis, with a 1:5 patient ratio and potential unit floatances.

• Active OH state RN license or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass an online EKG/Telemetry competency assessment prior to starting
• Skills include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and oxygen administration
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Responsabilidades

• Progressive Care Unit (Step Down) setting within a hospital
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• 13 or 18 week winter contract options available
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Epic EMR required
• Floating to High Risk Respiratory Unit/COVID units as needed
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Provide telemetry and step-down nursing care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients
• Respond to rapid response and code team activations as needed
• Maximum of 14 days RTO per contract; no schedule changes after offer
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers welcome to apply

• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• Provide telemetry and step-down level nursing care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients
• Respond to rapid response and code team activations as needed
• Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract; no RTO or schedule changes negotiated after offer is made
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Previous PERM/PRN staff or agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
