Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown/Telemetry RN for a night shift contract in Tennessee with EPIC EMR experience and prior travel history.

Responsibilities include caring for cardiac and medical telemetry patients on a progressive care/stepdown unit with a 1:5 ratio, night shifts (3x12-hour), and weekly orientation. Weekend rotations apply; travel-specific requirements are in place.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TN or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; at least 1 year in similar unit
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year EPIC EMR experience
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Experience with cardiac drip management, IV therapy, and central/peripheral line care

Responsibilities

• Step-down unit within a hospital setting
• Cardiac and medical telemetry patients on a progressive care/stepdown unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45pm-7:15am)
• Weekend rotation every other week
• Floating to other units/campuses based on census needs
• Provide telemetry and stepdown nursing care to cardiac/medical patients
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips and respond to dysrhythmias
• Weekly orientation Mondays with annual compliance training
• Pre-assignment testing and modules due within 48 hours of login credentials
• First-time travelers will not be considered
