Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking aStepdown Neuro RN for a night shift contract in Tennessee, requiring 2+ years of experience and an active TN or compact RN license. This travel assignment features a 3x12 schedule, 19:00–07:00, with some day rotation and weekend coverage.

Candidates must have BLS/ACLS, be able to monitor neurologic patients and dysrhythmias, and work in a hospital Stepdown Neuro unit. Travel experience is required and housing/licensure support available.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TN state or compact) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Neuro experience preferred.
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills are required.
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias is required.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Cardiac experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Stepdown Neuro unit of a hospital setting.
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 on day shift and 5:1 on night shift.
• Primarily night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00) with some day shift rotation.
• Required to work every other weekend.
• Open to accommodating a block schedule.
• Use Paragon charting system for documentation.
• Provide stepdown level care to neurological patients requiring close monitoring.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible.
• No time off approved between 2/8/26 and 3/26/26.
• Travel pairs are welcome to apply.
