American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced PCU RN for a night shift position in Georgia. Active GA or Compact RN license and current BLS/ACLS are required. The role requires a minimum of 2 years in progressive care with cardio monitoring and dysrhythmia management.

The 32-bed unit runs 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00) with a 1:3–4 nurse-to-patient ratio. First-time travelers are accepted and Epic/Pyxis are in use. Navy blue scrubs are the standard uniform.

Qualifications

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of recent progressive care experience.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients to PCU/Stepdown/IMC/DOU from CICU, MSICU, acute care floors, and ED.
• Care for a 32-bed unit with 1:3–4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Handle adults to geriatrics with diagnoses including post-op CABG, cardiac arrhythmias, sepsis, and stroke.
• Utilize Epic and Pyxis systems and communicate via SBAR.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00; every other weekend.
• Floating within facility as needed; no on-call requirements.
• Navy blue scrubs required; RTO limits per contract.

American Traveler is hiring a PCU RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of progressive care experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred at time of consideration
• First-time travelers accepted

Responsibilities

• PCU/Stepdown/IMC/DOU unit admitting patients from CICU, MSICU, acute care floors, and the ED
• 32-bed unit with an average daily census of 21 and a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Patient population spans adults to geriatrics with diagnoses including post-op CABG/thoracic/vascular surgery, respiratory failure, cardiac arrhythmias, DKA, GI bleed, trauma, CVA, seizures, CIWA, metabolic disorders, renal failure, sepsis, and neuro disorders
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, AirVo, BiPap, and CPAP
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on‑call requirements
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized prior to consideration
• No RTO requests permitted during orientation week or after offer/onsite
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Former permanent, PRN, or internal staff must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Cancelled or non-returning travelers must complete one assignment outside the health system before reapplying
• Shift and schedule as listed are firm with no alternate requests considered
