American Traveler, LLC is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Telemetry unit in Wisconsin, with night shift availability. The role requires med/surg and PCU background and involves 4x12 hour nights.

Candidates must hold an active WI license (or Compact), BLS and ACLS, and have a minimum of 2 years in med/surg/PCU. Telemetry exam will be required prior to assignment, with a 50-mile radius restriction and on-site parking provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (WI State or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and PCU
• First-time travelers must have at least 3 years of experience in a hybrid unit
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted to
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to assignment start, including strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification and heart block recognition
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and cardiac drip management preferred

Responsabilités

• Work in an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit with mixed PCU/Telemetry acuity and occasional ICU patients
• Patient ratios of 1:3-6
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
• Weekend rotation required, with consideration for 4x12s if working more weekends
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Standby call as neededFloating required as needed
• Provide nursing care for patients with mixed acuity including PCU, telemetry, and occasional ICU needs
• Responsibilities include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, and cardiac monitoring
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Free onsite parking available
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Candidates must have two attempts to pass the required telemetry exam; a failed second attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt is permitted
