Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for night shift in California. Must hold an active CA RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. EPIC experience reflected in work history is required, with two supervisor references.

Role includes high-acuity telemetry in a hospital setting for adolescents to geriatrics, night rotations, weekend coverage, and float requirements. Travel experience preferred; local candidates welcome.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted).
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• EPIC experience reflected in work history.
• Two supervisor references required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit care in a hospital setting.
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Rotational across Sunday through Saturday; weekend coverage required.
• Float required.
• Provide cardiac telemetry and monitoring care including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed.
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral/central line care.
• Respiratory care including oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and tracheostomy care.
• Care for cardiovascular, neurological, renal, and post-surgical needs.
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Travel experience preferred unless stated otherwise.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• CPI Blue Card preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in telemetry specialty within the past two years required
• EPIC experience required and must be reflected in work history
• Two supervisor references required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Scheduled across Sunday through Saturday rotation
• Float required
• Weekend coverage required
• Provide cardiac telemetry and monitoring care including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral/central line care
• Manage respiratory care including oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and tracheostomy care
• Provide care for cardiovascular, neurological, renal, and post-surgical patient needs
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Candidates must have a minimum of one year away from the facility to return as a traveler
• Minimum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred, with no RTO within the first two weeks of assignment
• Prior travel experience required unless otherwise specified
