American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a Cardiovascular Care Unit in Colorado. The role requires CO or Compact RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and telemetry experience. Works 3x12hr days, with weekend shifts and no guaranteed on-call duties.

Responsibilities include managing a 32-bed unit, using Epic and UKG Pro/Kronos, and performing nursing duties per state standards. 13-week contract with potential extension and mandatory background check.

Qualifications

• Active RN license, Colorado or Compact, required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must not expire prior to start.
• Minimum 1 year telemetry or higher-acuity RN experience.
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration.
• EKG competency and rhythm interpretation skills required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cardiovascular Care Unit within a hospital setting.
• 32-bed unit with an average of 3-5 patients per nurse depending on acuity and shift.
• Schedule consists of 3x12hr day shifts, 0700-1930.
• Weekend requirement of up to 8 shifts in an 8-week period, typically 5-6.
• No scheduled on-call shifts, though may be placed on call at the start of a shift if not needed.
• Uses Epic for documentation and UKG Pro/Kronos for timekeeping and scheduling.
• Floating required based on need and date.
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including health teaching and counseling.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Contract length is 13 weeks with potential for extension.
• Background check and drug screening required, with a firm documentation deadline that may impact start date.
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated for at least one year to be eligible for this assignment.
