Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry overflow role in a hospital setting. The position requires at least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience and proficiency with Cerner systems. Active NC or Compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS are required.

The role involves 24-bed telemetry care, 4:1 patient ratio, night shifts 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, and every-other-weekend rotation. Travel-rate eligibility applies for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) on hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• Associate's degree required
• Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo equipment
• Cerner experience preferred
• Social security number and date of birth required

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit with 24 beds in a hospital setting
• Care for general cardiac patients from young to elderly
• Maintain 4:1 patient ratio
• Diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, pre/post cardiac cath care
• Operate Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner systems
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Occasional float to IMCU, NPCU, or Surgical units
• Provide monitoring and pre/post procedural care for cardiac telemetry patients
• Support a family-oriented unit culture
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Candidates must reside 60 miles+ from facility for travel rate
• Candidates cannot have been permanent staff at any LifePoint facility in last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting with 24 beds
• Cardiac specialty caring for generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adult to elderly adult
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac caths (groin & radial) and VATS
• Uses Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment/systems
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units
• Provide nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients including monitoring and pre/post procedural care
• Family-oriented unit culture
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
