Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment. Active PA or Compact RN license and recent telemetry experience are required.

The role involves 3x12 shifts, rotating days/nights, and floating within a 10-mile radius, with travel and licensure reimbursements and housing support.

The position also includes credit for handling cardiac, renal, neurological, and post-surgical patients, with a focus on telemetry monitoring and rapid-response readiness.

Qualifications

• Active PA or Compact RN license is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required (AHA certs only).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management experience required.
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration required.
• Two supervisor references preferred.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit responsibilities in a hospital setting.
• Rotating day and night shifts on a 3x12 schedule.
• Floating within hospital and possibly to sister facilities within 10-mile radius.
• Covering every other holiday.
• Cerner charting system experience preferred.
• Provide direct care to cardiac, renal, neurological, and post-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
• Perform respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care.
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration.
• Respond to rapid response and code team activations.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Travel pairs may be considered based on facility need.

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with at least 2 years of experience and active PA or Compact RN license for a 13-week assignment.

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• SSN, DOB, driver's license, and RTO required for consideration
• Two supervisor references preferred

• Every other holiday coverage required

• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years before applying through an agency
• Travelers are limited to a cumulative one-year assignment within the health system, followed by a required two-year break before returning
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
