Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry travel assignment in North Carolina. The role requires 2+ years of cardiac telemetry nursing and current BLS/ACLS certifications.

Work a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM night shift on a 24-bed telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient ratio. You may float to IMCU/NPCU/Surgical units, and the assignment lasts 13 weeks at a large Duke Lifepoint Hospital with extensive centers.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac/telemetry nursing experience required.
• Associate's degree required.
• Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment required.
• Cerner EHR experience preferred.
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• 24-bed telemetry unit with 4:1 patient ratios.
• Cares for generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adult to elderly.
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac caths (groin & radial) and VATS.
• Uses Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment/systems.
• Required to work every other weekend.
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units.
• 13-week assignment.
• Work in a 355-bed Duke Lifepoint Hospital featuring a Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, and a Level 3 NICU.
• Facility also includes a 32-bed ED, 29-bed inpatient rehab, and a 15-bed surgical suite.
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable.
• Described as a family-oriented unit.
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate.
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months.
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment.
