American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Pediatric PACU RN for a Level 1 trauma children's hospital. A CA RN license and pediatric hospital experience are required, with travel experience preferred.

The role features 4x10-hour day shifts with start times around late morning, weekend availability, and on-call duties. PACU/PICU background is valued, and care will be provided in a Magnet-recognized teaching hospital setting.

Qualifikationen

• Active CA RN license required (in hand or with ETA from licensing board).
• Current BLS and PALS certifications (AHA) required.
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric hospital experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience required unless candidate has direct Peds PACU experience.
• Critical care experience required.
• Experience in airway management, ventilators, extubation, pain control, cardiac monitoring, fluid and electrolyte management, and discharge instructions required.

Aufgaben

• Work in a 38-bed Pediatric PACU unit.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2 in PACU and 1:3-4 in the discharge area.
• 4x10-hour day shifts with variable start times between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm.
• Weekend availability required with full scheduling flexibility.
• On-call responsibilities include 1 call shift per weeknight or every other weekend, plus 1 holiday call as needed.
• No floating to sister facilities required.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Provide perianesthesia nursing care to pediatric surgical patients.
• Facility is a Level 1 trauma, Magnet-recognized teaching hospital named among the Top 10 Best Children's Hospitals in the Nation.
• Scrub color is not restricted.
• Maximum RTO of 6 days must be confirmed upfront.
• Required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted.
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to travel.
• Free traveler parking is provided.
