Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for a 12-week assignment in Newark, Delaware. You will provide stepdown care to patients transitioning from ICU, with emphasis on cardiac monitoring and coordinated multidisciplinary care.

The role requires 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, valid RN license in Delaware, BLS and ACLS. PCCN and NIHSS are preferred qualifications. Competitive travel pay and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) preferred.
• NIHSS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry and vital signs; responds to abnormalities.
• Administers medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Aids physician during cardiac procedures and examinations.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort for telemetry patients.
• Documents assessments and coordinates care with the team.
• Education planning for cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
