Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in Springfield, MO. The role focuses on patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, with telemetry monitoring and cardiac-focused care.

You will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, bringing your expertise in stepdown nursing to a supportive clinical team. Travel benefits and competitive pay accompany this position.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; respond to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a cardiac focus.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures and examinations.
• Maintains telemetry patient comfort and safety.
• Observes patient, documents conditions, and notifies physician of status.
• Responds to life-saving situations per cardiac emergency protocols.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows safety protocols.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice; adheres to infection control and regulatory standards.
