Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week travel assignment in Kansas City, Missouri. This role offers 12-hour night shifts and a path to make a meaningful impact on patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units.

As a Stepdown RN, you will monitor telemetry, administer medications, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and follow strict safety protocols while enjoying competitive pay and benefits through

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN Certification and NIHSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vital signs.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with cardiac focus.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians in cardiac procedures.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Adheres to infection control and regulatory standards.
