Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN Certification and NIHSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and cardiac rhythms; respond to abnormalities.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, focusing on cardiac care.
• Assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety; ensure telemetry patient needs are met.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiate patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
