Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week travel assignment in Independence, MO. You will deliver specialized care to Stepdown patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires one year of Stepdown RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS/ACLS. PCCN and NIHSS certifications are preferred, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in good standing; state requirements.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• PCCN Certification (preferred) and NIHSS (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vitals, and telemetry data and respond to abnormalities.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
