Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced PACU RN to join our hospital team on a 13-week travel assignment in New Hampshire. The ideal candidate holds an NH or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certificates, with recent critical care exposure and ability to assist with sedation procedures.

The position features a day shift, comprehensive benefits, and housing support for travelers. Prior CPI, NIHSS, or Dysrhythmia credentials are advantageous and may be pursued during orientation.

Qualifications

• Active NH or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• CPI training preferred or obtained before orientation.
• 3 years of critical care experience preferred.
• Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred.
• Basic Dysrhythmia certification preferred.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Ability to safely administer procedural sedation and pass sedation exam.
• Experience with Flow wire, Opsens, and IVUS preferred.
• Knowledge of contraindications and reversal for IV adenosine infusion.

Responsibilities

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting within a hospital environment.
• Day shift schedule.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Defined workweek runs Sunday 12:01am through Saturday 11:59pm.
• Render professional nursing care within the assigned unit in support of medical care as directed by medical staff.
• Complete comprehensive clinical documentation and care plans for all assigned patients in a timely manner.
• Communicate patient information for continuity and safe care through hand-offs, walking rounds, and provider interaction.
• Complete hourly rounding in collaboration with Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs).
• Collaborate with nurses across departments and units to resolve conflicts and address patient care needs.
• Participate in quality improvement planning and DNV survey readiness.
• Work within a Just Culture environment to promote error reporting and safe practices.
• Practice reflects knowledge of current standards including ANA and NH Nurse Practice Act.
