Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week assignment. Requires 2+ years of PACU or related nursing experience, active RN license, and ACLS/BLS certifications.

The role includes day shifts (08:00-17:00) and duties in the recovery room following anesthesia. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills and must have Nursys verification within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (State or Compact).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of PACU or related nursing experience required.
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start.

Responsibilities

• PACU/Recovery Room care for patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Day shift schedule from 08:00-17:00.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Monitor patients in the immediate post-anesthesia period and manage pain/nausea.
• Coordinate care across disciplines and communicate patient status to the team.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Radius rules apply; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate depending on facility location.

• PACU/Recovery Room setting caring for patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures
• Day shift schedule from 08:00-17:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Monitor patients during the immediate post-anesthesia period, managing pain and nausea and identifying complications before transfer or discharge
• Coordinate care across disciplines and communicate patient condition status
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
• Radius rules apply; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
