Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a PACU RN for a day shift travel assignment in Tennessee. You will provide post-anesthesia care in the PACU with a total patient care model, supporting 1:2 to 1:1 patient ratios.

The role requires an active TN or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 1 year of critical care experience. Day shifts are 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with on-call nights and weekend coverage on a 6-week cycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent critical care experience (PACU, ICU, or ED).
• Active RN license (TN or compact) required.
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care in the PACU.
• Maintain patient ratios 1:2 to 1:1.
• Day shift 3x12s, 7:30 AM–8:00 PM with flexibility.
• On-call one night per week (8 PM–7 AM) and one 24-hour weekend call per 6-week period.
• No floating to other units; use Cerner SurgiNet EMR.
• Scrubs provided; travel RN eligibility and housing support.

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of recent critical care experience required (PACU, ICU, or ED)
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Recovery Room/PACU unit providing post-anesthesia care
• Total patient care model with patient ratios ranging from 1:2 to 1:1
• Day shift schedule, 3x12s, 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM with flexibility required
• On-call responsibilities include one night per week (8pm-7am) and one 24-hour weekend call (Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week schedule period
• No floating required
• Uses Cerner SurgiNet EMR
• Scrubs provided
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates will not be considered under the radius rule
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
