Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU travel assignment in Florida. Requires 2 years of PACU experience and active FL or compact RN licensure, plus BLS/ACLS certifications.

ICU or ER background in PACU is preferred, and degree accreditation verification can be substituted with 5 years of relevant experience. The role includes a 24-bed PACU, 12-hour day shifts (9A–9P), call obligation, and Epic EMR usage.

Qualifications

• Active FL or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years PACU experience.
• PACU experience must include ICU or ER background.
• Degree accreditation verification or 5 years experience in lieu of verification.
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a 24-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
• Care for orthopedic and general surgery cases.
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 9A to 9P, three shifts per week.
• Call is required.
• Use Epic EMR for documentation.
• Float to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the facility.
• Integrate fully into the unit as core staff.
• Residence within 50 miles of the facility is required.
• RTO requests must be submitted prior to start.
• Orientation begins on a Friday for badge/ID processing.
• Be flexible and a team player; floating is part of the role.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Education

• Orientation begins on a Friday, with required in-person attendance for badge and ID processing
• Must be flexible and a team player, as floating is a key part of the role
