Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with PACU float responsibilities in a state-of-the-art hospital in Arizona. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and AZ or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities include performing general, endo, ortho, OB, and GYN procedures in an OR with on-call weekend shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and potential PACU float. BLS/ACLS required; PALS preferred on site.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PALS preferred but can be obtained on site.
• 1-2 years of acute care experience required.
• RN degree required.

Responsibilities

• Operate in an OR setting with 6 ORs and 1 endo suite.
• Handle a patient mix of 70% adult, 28% geriatric, 2% pediatric.
• Perform general, endo, ortho, OB, and GYN procedures including C-sections.
• Document in MEDHOST and CQI; maintain 1:1 patient ratios.
• Work 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with on-call weekends and 1700 start times.
• May float to PACU as second RN; scrubs provided.
• Travel assignments with housing allowances; tattoos allowed within standards.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting with 6 ORs and 1 endo suite
• Patient population: 70% adult, 28% geriatric, 2% pediatric
• 90% outpatient, 10% inpatient cases
• Performs general, endo, ortho, OB, and GYN procedures including scheduled and emergency C-sections
• Uses new Olympus laparoscopic/endo equipment, processors and monitors, STERIS beds, and HANA table
• Charting in MEDHOST and CQI
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend hours only for on-call
• Call requirements evenly shared among OR RNs, typically starting at 1700
• May float to PACU to serve as second RN
• Every other weekend required
• Work in a state-of-the-art hospital with specialized OR and PACU units
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Visible tattoos allowed if within professional standards
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• First-time travelers may be considered
