Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position at a Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM. The role requires 3+ years of Phase I recovery experience and NM or compact RN licensure, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

You will work in a 198-bed facility with a 7-bed PACU, covering General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro, and more on day shift 8:30 AM–6:30 PM, with weekend/evening call and possible floating to PreOp or Endo. Travel benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) currently in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum 3 years of PACU/recovery experience required.
• Trauma level recovery experience required.
• RN degree required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Main PACU, providing Phase I Recovery care for General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro, Ob/Gyn, Urology, ENT, and Robotics patients.
• Adult patient population with mid to high acuity.
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2.
• 7-bed unit.
• Uses Mindray equipment and Cerner EHR.
• Day shift schedule from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Weekend and evening call requirements.
• Possible floating to PreOp and/or Endo.
• Facility is a 198-bed Level III trauma center performing Level I and II procedures except open hearts.
• Various trauma level I, II, and III cases are flown into the facility due to its regional location.
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across a range of surgical specialties.
