American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a CVOR Registered Nurse for a new cardiovascular surgery startup program in California. The role requires an active CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, travel nursing experience, and specific certifications including trauma level II and Epic EMR proficiency.

The position features a day shift (6:30 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday) with alternating on-call weekends and a potential to contribute to program development and workflows within a growing cardiovascular surgery program.

Formación

• Active CA RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 5 years of experience requested, minimum 3 years required for consideration.
• Travel nursing experience required.
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Circulator certification required.
• Nursys license verification uploaded within the last 2 weeks required.
• AHA or ARC certifications with valid expiration dates required.
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required.

Responsabilidades

• CVOR setting within a hospital supporting a new cardiovascular surgery program.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Call required every other weekend from Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM.
• Weekly call requirement of 2-3 days from 3:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
• Call volume currently expected to be low as the program ramps up.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Must be able to circulate.
• Opportunity to help build a new cardiovascular surgery program from the ground up, including contributing to program development and establishing workflows.
• Call burden may be lighter than expected during this early phase of program development.
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius.
• Returning staff or travelers must have a one-year separation before returning.
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract.
• Only 1 holiday may be requested off per contract.
• Observed holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, running from 7:00 PM the night before through 7:00 AM the day after.
• Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing.
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates.
• All compliance documents due 10 days prior to start.
