Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC).
• Pediatric CV and vascular hybrid experience preferred.
• Nursys license verification uploaded within 2 weeks.
• Two supervisor references within the past year.
• 7-year work history verification required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule (4x8 hours) with start times at 6:30 AM or 9:30 AM.
• On-call averaging 3 days/week and 1–2 weekends per month.
• 4 call team rotations: CV1, CV2, Peds, and Hybrid shifts.
• Weekend call covered by two teams (CV and Hybrid).
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Block scheduling may be approved by manager during interview.
• Perform surgical nursing duties within the CVOR.

American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN with 3+ years of open heart surgery experience and on-call availability for a cardiovascular operating room assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of open heart surgery experience required
• Pediatric CV and vascular hybrid experience preferred
• Valid Nursys license verification uploaded within the last 2 weeks
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year
• 7-year work history verification required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting

• Weekend call covered by 2 teams: CV and Hybrid, typically Friday 1500 to Monday 0630

• Block scheduling may be approved by manager, to be discussed during interview
• Perform surgical nursing duties within the cardiovascular operating room
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate
• Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Compliance documents due 10 days prior to start date
• Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
