American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse for a 12-week day shift assignment in Oregon. Requires 1-2 years of CVOR scrub experience and a compact RN license in hand. A stringent set of qualifications includes active RN licensure, BLS, and Epic charting experience.

Position involves 3x12-hour daytime shifts, 1:1 patient care in a teaching hospital CVOR, with on-call and one weekend per month. Housing and travel reimbursements are provided as benefits.

Responsabilidades

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a short-term acute care teaching hospital.
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• On-call required as assigned per unit need.
• One call weekend required per month.
• No floating between units expected, though floating to sister facilities within the health system may occur based on skill set.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Provide direct scrub nursing care in cardiovascular surgical procedures within the CVOR.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a 12-week day shift assignment requiring at least 1-2 years of cardiovascular scrub experience and a compact RN license in hand.

Requirements

• Active RN license required; OR RN license required
• Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Cardiac scrub experience is a hardstop requirement
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in administration of blood and blood products, cardiac monitoring, specimen handling/labeling, and Universal Protocol (time out) procedures
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures such as Aortic Aneurysm repair, CABG, Femoral Cannulation, IABP, MAZE Procedure, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, and scrub cardiovascular surgery
• Experience with LVAD/RVAD, laparoscopic cardiac surgery, atrial septal defect repair, cardiomyoplasty, and atherectomy preferred
• Experience with Hybrid OR setting preferred
• Experience with heart transplant scrub surgery
• Familiarity with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Steris equipment
• Must have a vehicle for this assignment
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Responsibilities

• OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided; any color scrubs accepted elsewhere in facility
• No parking fee
• Provide direct scrub nursing care in cardiovascular surgical procedures within the CVOR
• First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on experience
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced bill rate
• Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not currently reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront at time of submission, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Contracts longer than 12 weeks will not be considered for this position
