American Traveler, LLC is hiring an experienced CVOR RN with cardiac surgery scrub and circulate experience for a 13-week hospital assignment in Philadelphia. Requires a PA or compact RN license, current BLS, and at least 3 years of RN experience including 2 years in CVOR.

The role involves scrub/circulate for complex cardiac procedures, possible EVAR/TEVAR/TCAR experience, and on-call shifts. Orientation and local radius requirements apply; Epic charting is used.

Qualifications

• Scrub and circulate for cardiac surgery (CABGs, valve repairs/replacements, transplants).
• Preferred: vascular/thoracic surgery experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital.
• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Staffing ratio 1:2; float to other OR services as needed.
• 4 on-call shifts per 13-week contract; on-call schedule varies.
• Use Epic charting; scrubs provided; orientation included.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN with cardiac surgery scrub and circulate experience for a 13-week hospital assignment requiring a PA or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license, PA or compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required, including at least 2 years of experience in the CVOR specialty
• Must be able to scrub and circulate for cardiac surgery including CABGs, aortic/mitral valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
• Experience with vascular/thoracic surgery (EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, open AAA) preferred
• PA fingerprint clearance required, along with a PA Childline clearance within 12 months of start date
• Valid references and certification copies required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Staffing ratio of 1:2
• Floating to other OR services (General, Urology, ENT, etc.) averages once per week but may vary with CVOR volume
• On-call requirement of 4 call shifts per 13-week contract with varying days and hours
• No holiday requirement
• Uses Epic charting system
• Scrubs are provided
• Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Must live within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
• Orientation includes 5x8-hour shifts (Monday-Friday) during the first week, transitioning to 12-hour shifts if additional orientation is needed
• First-time travelers are accepted with appropriate experience
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Local candidates accepted at a different rate
