American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for an acute care cardiovascular operating room position in Wisconsin. The role requires circulating experience, call coverage, and the ability to assist in C-sections.

The successful candidate will have an active WI or compact license, BLS/ACLS, and Cerner EMR experience; Epic transition is planned. Schedule is 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional longer days and weekend calls, supported by a team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (WI or Compact)
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• Must circulate outside CVOR, specifically for C-sections
• Cerner EMR experience preferred due to charting system in use

Responsabilités

• Circulate cardiovascular surgical cases in CVOR and support surgical team
• Work in 1 main CV OR suite plus 1 backup suite
• Handle case types: CABG, valve repairs, TAVR, VATS/thoracotomy, robotic lung surgery, aneurysm repairs
• Use Cerner EMR, with transition to Epic
• Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Mon–Fri, with occasional extension to 5:30 PM
• Call 10–15 days per month, including weekends, with 30-min response
• Holiday call rotation with the team
• Floating limited to main OR or Outpatient Surgery Center
• Clock in/out at facility; scrubs provided by facility

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for an acute care cardiovascular operating room position requiring circulating experience and call coverage, including C-sections.

Requirements

• Active RN license (WI or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Must be able to circulate outside of CVOR, specifically for C-sections
• Cerner EMR experience preferred due to charting system in use

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• 1 main CV OR suite plus 1 backup suite
• Case volume averages less than 1 per day, varying week to week
• Common cases include CABG, valve repairs, TAVR, VATS/thoracotomy, robotic lung surgery, and aneurysm repairs
• Uses Cerner EMR, transitioning to Epic
• Schedule is 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Monday-Friday, with occasional coverage until 5:30 PM
• One late-start Wednesday per month (details discussed during interview)
• Call requirements of 10-15 days per month, including weekends, with a 30-minute response time
• Holiday call rotation shared with the team
• Floating limited to main OR or Outpatient Surgery Center, no other sites
• Scrubbing not required for RNs
• Unit supported by a team lead and house supervisor
• Team of 3 self-schedules call together
• Circulate cardiovascular surgical cases and support the surgical team in a fast-paced CVOR environment
• Up to 1 week of unit/department-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff must have an end date at least 6 months prior to application and require facility approval before returning
• All clinicians are required to clock in and out at the facility
