Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position in Illinois. Candidates must hold an active IL RN license and BLS; CVOR and Epic charting experience are required.

The role features a 4x10-hour day shift (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) with on-call rotations for weekends/holidays. You may float to General OR when CVOR is not needed, and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted).
BLS certification (AHA).
Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience.
CVOR experience required.
Level 1 Trauma experience highly preferred.
Epic charting experience required.
ASN required, BSN preferred.
Must be comfortable floating to General OR.

Responsibilities

CVOR setting within a hospital surgical department.
Day shift: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, rotating day off.
On-call rotation for weekends and holidays (approx. 1–2 on-call shifts per week; 1–2 weekends per 4 weeks).
May float to General OR when CV service line is not needed.
Remain in department except for breaks to ensure availability for patient care.
Uses Epic charting system.
Prepare the OR suite, patient identification and positioning, support the surgical team during procedures, and handoff to PACU staff.
Perform patient assessments, develop and modify plans of care, maintain nursing documentation.
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted.
RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract.
Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break.
