American Traveler is seeking an RN - Operating Room with 2+ years OR experience and Epic proficiency for a day shift position in Louisville, KY.

The role involves patient assessment, care planning, and implementation in the OR, with collaboration across disciplines. Call is required up to 40 hours on a rotating schedule; Epic EMR will be used daily. A strong focus on quality, safety, and governance underpins all duties.

Qualifications

• Active KY or Compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required.
• Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Services department within an acute care hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 6:30am-5pm, four 10-hour shifts per week.
• No weekend shifts required.
• Call required up to 40 hours on a 6-week rotating schedule.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation in the OR setting.
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel and serves as a mentor/preceptor.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs.
• Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives.
• Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model.
