Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week acute care assignment in Minnesota. You will circulate and possibly scrub, covering 16–18 cases daily across ortho, ENT, eye, GI, GYN, urology and more.

The role requires a MN RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years of OR experience with Epic EMR. Travel nursing experience is preferred; housing and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Must be able to circulate; scrub skills preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with pre/post-op and PACU care preferred.
• Reliable personal transportation due to limited local transit options.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a Level 3 trauma facility OR unit on a 4x10 schedule.
• Circulate and potentially scrub across multiple surgical specialties.
• Handle 16–18 cases per day including ortho, ENT, eye, GI, gyn, urology and more.
• Utilize Stryker endo systems and DePuy hip equipment; no robotics in use.
• Support adult and pediatric patients in the OR and PACU; document care in EMR.
• Maintain strong time management in a fast-paced enviroment and collaborate with team.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of OR experience and a MN RN license.

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required

• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be able to circulate; scrub skills preferred but not mandatory
• Experience with pre/post-op and PACU care preferred
• Reliable personal transportation required due to lack of local ride-sharing or public transit options

Responsibilities

• Acute care Level 3 trauma facility Operating Room unit
• Handles 16-18 cases per day including ortho total joints, ENT, eye, general surgery/bariatric, podiatry, GI-endo, GYN, urology, and laparoscopic cases
• Treats both adult and pediatric patients
• Uses Stryker endo systems and DePuy hip equipment
• No robotics; minimally invasive surgery program available
• Endo cases including ERCPs performed in the OR by general surgeons
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift with flexible 0600-1000 start, working 8 or 10-hour shifts (4x10 schedule)
• Call rotation required approximately every 4th weekend and once weekly, with a 30-minute return time
• Fast-paced environment with quick turnovers requiring strong time management
• Responsible for circulating and potentially scrubbing in surgical cases across multiple specialties
• Must demonstrate strong clinical skills, reliability, and the ability to quickly adapt to the unit's workflow
• Team-oriented environment valuing punctuality and a positive attitude
• Scrubs provided
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
