Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN - Operating Room with OR circulating experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a 13-week assignment in North Carolina. You will work in a busy surgical suite supporting multiple specialties and participate in on-call duties.

The role requires an active NC or compact RN license, BLS certification, and at least one year of nursing experience with OR circulating duties. BSN/MSN is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC or compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience.
• OR circulating experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Nursing Diploma/ADN/ASN from an accredited program; BSN/MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support general, robotics, urology, vascular, dental, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and gynecology in a 13-suite OR.
• Work day shift 0640-1510, Monday to Friday; no block scheduling.
• On-call one night per week and every 4th weekend; holiday call coverage.
• Deliver competent nursing care within hospital surgical setting using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with Nurse Manager/Director and interdisciplinary team.
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing and participate in performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 13-suite Operating Room supporting general, robotics, urology, vascular, dental, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and gynecology specialties
• Day shift schedule, 0640-1510 Monday through Friday
• No block scheduling allowed
• On-call required one night per week plus call every 4th weekend (day call Sat/Sun 7a-7p, night call Sat/Sun 7p-7a)
• Holiday call coverage required
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards within a hospital surgical setting
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process while reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for the patient care plan
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and promote cost-effective, safe patient care
