American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment at a teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of OR experience with both scrub and circulate competencies.

The role operates 8-hour afternoon shifts (3:00 PM-11:30 PM) five days a week, with on-call and holiday coverage as needed. Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and hold a MA RN license in hand with BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license in hand prior to consideration (compact license not accepted).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum 2 years of current OR RN experience required.
• Scrub and circulate experience both required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room department of a 298-bed teaching hospital.
• 8-hour afternoon shifts (3:00 PM-11:30 PM), five shifts per week.
• On-call responsibilities required.
• Holiday coverage required if needed.
• Provide perioperative nursing care supporting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams throughout the surgical process.

• 10/12-hour shift schedules are not available for this position
• On-call responsibilities required
• Holiday coverage required if needed
• Provide perioperative nursing care supporting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams throughout the surgical process
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application, with no more than 5 days of RTO accepted; requests made after offer or at interview will not be approved
