Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a full-time position in a hospital setting in Hartford, CT. The role requires an active CT/Compact RN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of operating room nursing experience.

The assignment offers a 40-hour workweek with shift options including 5x8, 4x10, or a mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts (typically 06:30–19:00). No weekend or on-call requirements apply, with vaccination for consideration.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) in hand.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required for direct patient care.
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required.
• License and certification verification must be dated within 30 days of assignment start.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting.
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
• Shift options include 5x8-hour, 4x10-hour, or a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, typically 06:30-19:00.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• Provide perioperative nursing care within the Operating Room.
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies for most Trinity Health locations, with exceptions of 90 miles for MercyOne (IA) and Genesis (IA & IL) locations, 50 miles for St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center (NY), and 75 miles for St. Peter's Health Partners (NY) locations.
• Local candidates accepted in CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, MD, MA, MI, NC, NE, NY, OH, OR, and PA, excluding MercyOne (IA), Genesis (IA & IL), St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center (NY), and St. Peter's Health Partners (NY) locations.
